Alongside my work as a psychotherapist, healer, intuitive coach and teacher, I am also one of the co-directors of The Centre for Spiritual Learning, which I founded with my dear friends and fellow practitioners Mandy Bodnar and Michelle Barton.
The Centre grew out of our shared passion for spiritual development and our recognition that there are many different ways in which people can explore their spirituality, develop their intuition, deepen their awareness and discover their own inner wisdom.
It also comes from a series of deeply inspiring spiritual experiences that occurred in February and March 2026. Here is a quote from the closing pages of my book, Born Lonely, which describes what happened.
‘In this book, I describe some of the things that happened to me going back over many years. Although I have had many spiritual experiences in my life, there was always a part of me that doubted the veracity of them. I thought perhaps I was imagining things or making them up somehow. But I do know that Spirit visited me several times and asked me to learn more.
They wanted me to find out more about what happens to us before and after our physical lives and how we can communicate with other dimensions. And I always responded to their requests with I’ll do it soon or I’m not ready. In later years, I’ve been busy being a psychotherapist and was nervous about declaring my spiritual interests for fear of being labelled unprofessional or crossing boundaries by my profession.
However, Spirit’s messages became more pressing in the last decade, and I finally felt I couldn’t ignore them anymore. So, in the early 2020’s, I started Trance Mediumship training and have done more training every year over the past five years. In 2025, I met Mandy, who is an experienced medium and healer.
I have joined her Spiritual Development Circle and trained in Unique Soul Healing with her. I feel these experiences have opened me up much further. I am now getting more comfortable with events in the non-physical world. Mandy tells me I have raised my vibration – I take that to mean that I can see, hear, and connect more with Spirit. In other words, the more I train, the more sensitive I become to Spirit, so the more I can see and hear with my senses.
Well, I’ve certainly experienced some amazing things in recent weeks.
The story starts with Mandy attuning me and Michelle to Angel Reiki. That afternoon, after the morning’s attunement, we gathered to practice Angel Reiki and found ourselves bowled over by a powerful energy that obviously wasn’t Angel Reiki. It made us shake, our hands were heavy, and we were unable to lift them from our client’s body; it even made one of my lamps blow up! None of us understood what was happening, but we knew this was a different energy and that hopefully Spirit would teach us more in time. And they soon did!
In March 2026, I went to a spiritual retreat with Mandy. On the second evening we retired to our shared bedroom and were chattering over a cuppa. I glanced at the ceiling, and it was covered in sparkles or star-like lights. Mandy and I stared in awe. What was happening? Then the ceiling changed and looked like a nebula with purple, pink and white streaks, and white ‘clouds’ coming down into the room. We both checked outside our window. This was not some weird reflection of the night sky. What we were seeing was totally different from the sky out of the window.
The ‘visions’ continued for three hours. We saw a crystalline structure cover the ceiling; an angel lit up the room; a monk travelled the length of one wall; Mandy disembodied and floated in the air, touching me and making me cry.
I was completely shocked and awe-struck. In fact, words failed me as this ‘light show’ continued. It continued every evening for the rest of the week: Three nights on the retreat; in another hotel on the way home; and when I got home, on my own ceiling. Here we are now, 6 weeks after the initial experience, and we have nightly light shows. Each of us sees this in our separate homes and when we are together.
Mandy is excellent at written channelling and has now channelled about two lever arch files full of information about this from Archangels and Ascended Masters. I have trance channelled many beings, too.
Mandy, Michelle, and I now meet regularly to better understand what is happening. It was sad that Michelle did not come on our retreat as she missed the beginning of the ‘light shows’; however, she is catching up.
We feel the ‘light’ is teaching us, and the channelling communications are beginning to explain what Spirit would like us to do. We are at the very beginning of all this, but it seems we will be offering workshops and courses in esoteric subjects connected to the 5th Dimension and spiritual development.’
Thus, the Centre evolved naturally from the friendship and spiritual connection that developed between the three of us, and from these amazing experiences.
Today, we are developing the Centre as a space where people can come together to learn, explore and experience different aspects of spirituality and holistic development in a welcoming and supportive environment. The Centre offers workshops, courses, healing experiences and opportunities for spiritual and personal development.
Apart from what we already offer, coming is a course on The Trilogium Process, which is a synthesis of our knowledge and the channelled materials that Mandy, and to a lesser extent, I, have channelled. It will be about world healing, self-healing, and personal development.
One important thing I particularly value about the Centre is that we are not all the same.
Mandy, Michelle and I each bring our own experiences, perspectives and areas of knowledge. Rather than trying to create a single approach to spirituality, we celebrate this diversity.
Our shared intention is to create a space where people can explore spirituality without feeling that they have to fit into a particular belief system or way of being.
For me personally, this is very important.
My own work has always been about helping people to develop a deeper relationship with themselves — psychologically, emotionally, spiritually and intuitively. My Jungian training has taught me to value the language of dreams, symbols, archetypes and the unconscious, while my many years as a healer and Reiki Master have given me a deep appreciation of the energetic and spiritual dimensions of human experience.
The Centre gives me another way of sharing this wider exploration with others.

A place to explore rather than a place to have all the answers
Perhaps the most important thing I would like to convey about the Centre is that you don’t have to consider yourself “spiritual” to come along.
You don’t need to have special abilities.
You don’t need to subscribe to a particular religion or belief system.
And you certainly don’t need to have all the answers.
You can simply be curious.
Our workshops provide opportunities to learn, experience, question, reflect and discover what feels meaningful to you.
Some people come because they are beginning to explore spirituality. Others have been on a spiritual path for many years and want to deepen their understanding or learn something new.
Both are welcome.
My role within the Centre
As one of the three co-directors, I contribute particularly from my background in Jungian psychotherapy, counselling, healing, Reiki, intuitive work and spiritual development.
I am especially interested in the relationship between psychological and spiritual development — and in how experiences that we might describe as spiritual can also become opportunities for greater self-understanding, integration and personal growth.
This is something that sits at the heart of much of my individual work too.
For me, spirituality isn’t about escaping from ourselves or from ordinary life. It is about becoming more fully ourselves.
It is about developing greater awareness, listening more deeply to our inner world, discovering meaning and purpose, and finding ways of bringing what we learn into our everyday lives.
